Garden waste collections suspended

Copeland residents are being reminded that, as part of the council’s resilience planning around coronavirus, garden waste collections are suspended
The fortnightly collections were due to restart this week, but in light of the flexibility needed to deliver core services when staff are unavailable, they will not.
A spokesperson said: “In common with all organisations, we do not know how our staffing levels will be affected in coming weeks, and we will be prioritising the delivery of statutory services.”
Council takes steps to delay coronavirus spread

COPELAND Council has introduced a series of measures to help delay the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus).
The council’s precautionary measures take immediate effect and are in line with Government advice and actions taken by other local authorities.
