Scheme launched to help save residents money

A FREE scheme to help residents save money on their energy bills has been launched by Copeland Council.
The Copeland Big Switch returns following a successful initial campaign earlier this year, in which a high number of householders saved large amounts on their bills.
The scheme involves the organisers creating a large group of customers interested in cheaper tariffs, who then offer their custom as a group to the energy firm offering the best deal.

THE planning team at Copeland Council is celebrating a remarkable turnaround in its fortunes over the last 12 months.
The team has surpassed a series of Government-set targets for the speed in which it processes applications, with a success rate of over 90 per cent in all categories.

The Statement of Consultation sets out the methods taken by the Strategic Planning team of Copeland Borough Council in publicising and promoting the Draft Revised SCI for public consultation.
The statement provides detail on the methods of consultation used, how members of the public were able to make comments and examples of how members of the public were notified of the draft revised Statement of Community 2016 public consultation held between Monday 18 April and Tuesday 31st May 2016.
