Council sets out bank holiday arrangements

COPELAND Council has the made the following arrangements for the coming bank holiday (Monday, August 31).

All household waste, recycling and garden waste collections will be one day later next week.

Residents can find out when their next collection will be at www.copeland.gov.uk.

Beacon Museum reopens its doors

A ‘ROARSOME’ reopening is promised when The Beacon Museum welcomes the public back through its doors this weekend.

The Whitehaven harbourside museum has remained closed since March in line with other similar attractions, but the team is looking forward to Saturday’s reopening with the previously-delayed family exhibition, Bears!
