To qualify for larger bins, your household must have one of the following:

  • Six or more permanent residents
  • Five permanent residents including one under the age of five
  • Four permanent residents including two under the age of five
  • Someone with a medical condition which produces non-infectious clinical waste

 

Deadline approaching in 'Call for Sites' process

COPELAND Council's 'Call for Sites' process to invite landowners to nominate potential locations for Gypsy and traveller sites in the borough is nearing its deadline.

A Cumbria-wide Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Needs Assessment is currently being produced to identify needs across the county. Initial findings indicate there is a need for 12 permanent Gypsy and traveller pitches in Copeland up to the year 2035. It is anticipated the assessment will be completed in May this year.
