Council launches new support for private landlords

COPELAND Council is launching a new programme of support for private landlords.
A new tenancy support service, alongside a series of financial incentives are on offer should private landlords be willing to support housing Copeland’s residents.
The new service will support the relationship between tenant and landlord and will be free of charge to both.
The council has employed a new Private Rented Accommodation Officer to provide the service, through funding from The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Copeland residents invited to have their say on Local Plan changes

COPELAND residents are being invited to have their say on significant changes to the Local Plan that are being considered.
The Council is in the process of developing a new Local Plan, which will guide development and investment in the borough until 2035.
Local Plans are used to help decide on planning applications and other planning related decisions. They are the local guide to what can be built where, shaping infrastructure investments and setting out the vision for development in the borough.
