Published: 24/05/2022

A celebratory tea party for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will take place at Distington Crematorium’s Walled Garden on Saturday, June 4.

Everyone is welcome to come along between 10am and 2pm to enjoy sandwiches, cakes, scones and more.

This event is being hosted by Copeland Borough Council’s Bereavement Services and Parks and Open Spaces teams as part of their volunteering programme to restore the Victorian garden.

Alongside the tea party refreshments, visitors are invited to plant seeds and there will be an oak tree planting ceremony to mark the occasion.
