Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) all public access to our Council offices is prohibited.
The Council is currently reviewing how it can make planning documents available to the public. Further details will be issued as soon as possible.
Any queries in the interim should be submitted to Development.Control@copeland.gov.uk
There are several ways that you can find details of planning applications.
We publish a weekly list of the following:
Planning records search
A summary of all planning records since 2005 relating to any specific property or piece of land can be viewed using the GIS. Go to 'my property' and type in your postcode, you will then see a tab for 'my planning' and this will give you information on all current planning applications near where you live.

A copy of all current planning applications can be viewed at Market Hall, Market Place, Whitehaven, CA28 7JG.
