Success for Council wellbeing festival

WHITEHAVEN’S first Social Prescribing Wellbeing Festival has been hailed a resounding success.
Visitors flocked from across the borough to attend the festival led by Copeland Borough Council.
The event was held yesterday (August 25) at Whitehaven Rugby League Club, Coach Road.
Thirty organisations came together to provide advice, guidance and activities to improve people’s health and wellbeing.
Council issues £42.7m support for businesses

COPELAND Council has now awarded more than £34.6million in grants to businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Council has also issued £8.1 million in retail relief to 480 businesses, bringing the total support for Copeland’s businesses to £42.7 million.
