Positive initial reviews for Cleator Moor Innovation Quarter

VIEWS of more than 100 people were given at two drop-in sessions in Cleator Moor to outline the possible designs for a new business campus in the town.
The Cleator Moor Innovation Quarter is a long term plan that will include a central hub at Leconfield Industrial Estate which houses research, education and community facilities and aims to bring prosperity to the area by creating job opportunities for local people, helping local businesses grow, and acting as a catalyst for further investment.
Millom Town Fund Leisure Survey Launched
A SURVEY has been launched to help find out what sport and leisure activities people would like to see on offer in Millom in the future.

New future for Red Lion site

COPELAND Council has completed the purchase of the Egremont site where the Red Lion pub once stood.
The Council has partnered with BEC (Building Extraordinary Communities) to purchase the building and demolish the unsafe structure which has been derelict for almost two decades.
Mike Starkie, Mayor of Copeland, said: “This building has been an eyesore on the Egremont landscape since the mid-2000s.
