Local planning authorities are required to publish a list of information they need to validate planning applications.

This validation list is based on national and local requirements.

The national requirements include application forms, fees, certificates etc.

In order to ensure a consistent approach for Cumberland Council, we have now introduced a Local Validation List.

This list reflects recent changes in planning legislation, policy and guidance to ensure best possible practice.

Life-enhancing facilities planned for Ravenglass

A FULLY- ACCESSIBLE changing room and toilet is to be installed at the La'al Ratty's Ravenglass station - providing life-changing freedoms for those with complex needs.

Copeland Council has drawn down £68,000 from the government’s Changing Places fund, designed to provide the right facilities for disabled people to wash, change and use the toilet safely and easily. The project will be delivered by the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
