Businesses urged not to miss out on payments of up to £18,000

Published: 14/06/2021

COPELAND Council is urging eligible businesses to come forward if they have not yet claimed their Restart Grant, before June 30.

Grants of up to £18,000 are being paid to businesses in the hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors. Grants of up to £6,000 are being paid to non-essential retail businesses.

Businesses must have been trading on April 1, 2021 to be eligible to receive funding under the Restart grant scheme.

It is expected that, although the business is not able to provide in-person services from the premises on April 1, 2021, trading and business activity is still ongoing.

The restart grant is available to eligible business-rate payers operating from fixed rate-paying premises only.

The deadline for applications is June 30, 2021.
