Pay business rates

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the easiest way for you to pay your Business Rates. Set up your direct debit online (please select ‘sign up for Direct Debit’ option under the Business Rates header when you reach the dashboard).

Four payment dates are available: 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of the month.

Card payments online

You need your debit or credit card and your Business Rates account number. Continue to make a card payment.

Online bank transfer

Make your payment to Cumberland Council, quoting your business rates account number in the reference field, using these details:

Pay Point or Post Office

You can pay at a pay point or post office. Please ensure you take your bill with you.

Telephone

Please call 01946 598300 with your business rates account number and debit/credit card details.

Cheque

Please make your cheque payable to Cumberland Council and send it to Cumberland Council, Market Hall, Market Place, Whitehaven, CA28 7JG. Please ensure you quote your account number on the reverse.
