A consultation proposing an extension to the current St Bees Head Heritage Coast is being held. St Bees Head is the only heritage coast between Wales and Scotland, and the only area of high sea cliffs in the north-west. The proposal outlines the current heritage coast and earmarks further areas for consideration.

The consultation will run for a six-week period from January 7 to February 15, 2019.
