The Harbour Gallery is the museum's temporary exhibition space, displaying up to 6 exhibitions per year. Entry is free unless otherwise stated.

24th May to 14th June

"Future Insprations" by Lakes College Students.

We reopen the Harbour Gallery with an array of artwork from the Lakes College. Featuring a range of artwork from all ages and levels of students including painting, graphic design, photography, fashion, animation and video.


21st June to 2nd September 2014

"The Fowlers" 

Artwork from The Beacon Museum's fine art collection.


8th September to 2nd November

"Gone Fishing"

 A photographic exhibition looking at the West Cumbrian fishing industry, past and present.


8th November to 5th January 2015

"The Christmas Show"

 A collection of artwork and gifts from local Cumbria artists.


11th January to 15th March 2015

"World War One"

Our WW1 commemorative exhibition.


21st March to 4th May

"Cumbrian Alchemy"

A contemporary exhibition which explores the significant relationships between the nuclear, mining and renewables industries of the north west Energy Coast, with the landscape, archaeology and folklore of North Lancashire and Cumbria.


Entry to the Harbour Gallery is free unless otherwise stated.
