The Stakeholder Partnership
The Initiative is being overseen by a Stakeholder Partnership consisting of the following members:

THI Project Team
The Project Team, which has responsibility for the day to day management of the Initiative, is made up of the following members:
Jane Taylor - Whitehaven THI Officer
Jane manages the Whitehaven THI and is responsible for the processing of grants and organising the skills and training programme. She is a surveyor with over 20 years experience working in the retail and regeneration sectors. She studied in Nottingham and then worked in Manchester and Birmingham before moving to Cumbria to work for the Norwthwest Development Agency, managing their large portfolio of properties throughout the county.
Richard Majewicz - Conservation & Design Officer, Copeland Borough Council
Richard is a Registered Architect, a RIBA Chartered Member and an Affiliate Member of the IHBC. He is an experienced practising architect who has worked for 35 years in both local government and the private sector, and over the past six years as a Local Government Conservation Officer. Apart from his involvement in the design and planning of new buildings, and the adaptations of and extensions to existing buildings, a large part of both his architectural and conservation work has involved the surveying and evaluation of historic and traditionally built vernacular buildings and the management, co-ordination and administration of Conservation Areas.
Sarah Mitchell - Economic & Community Regeneration Manager, Copeland Borough Council
Sarah has worked in economic and community regeneration for over 20 years, and during that time operated as a practitioner, researcher, consultant and volunteer. Sarah has worked at the Council since 2009, delivering community regeneration, partnership development, economic development – developing strategic area based regeneration strategies with public, private and third sector partners.
Diane Ward - Regeneration Planning Officer, Copeland Borough Council
Diane is APMP qualified and has a MA in ‘Conflict, Development & Security’. Diane worked for seven years in International Development before joining the council’s economic development team in 2006. She has recently delivered the successful Coastal Initiative and is working on the development and delivery of a number of building and infrastructure projects. She currently leads on addressing dilapidated buildings across the borough and has considerable experience in developing and maintaining working partnerships.
Charlotte Brown - Planning Policy Officer, Copeland Borough Council
Charlotte is a qualified Planner and Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute currently working towards full membership. Charlotte has a BA in Tourism Management and an MA in Town and Regional Planning. She has over eight years of professional experience in regeneration, masterplanning, housing strategy and planning, working for both public and third sector in West Yorkshire. Charlotte has worked for Copeland Borough Council since 2013 across Economic & Community Regeneration and Development Management disciplines, currently sitting within the Planning Policy Team focusing on producing the Site Allocations and Policies Plan and Local Development Framework activity for the Borough.
