The University of Cumbria Business Services provide support and guidance from helping businesses to set up, through to their successful sustainability and growth.

Copeland Borough Council are offering subsidies of up to £700 to help local businesses access two of the University of Cumbria Business Services which provide help to source high level skills and improve staff retention practices.

  Free advice to enhance competitiveness through the improvement of workforce performance and retention and help to source and recruit graduate talent to grow your business.
   
• Business Placements Programme
  Free help to develop a specific business  area through the sourcing of skilled students for short-term business projects.
   
• Short Courses for Businesses
  Short, affordable courses throughout Cumbria covering key business topics.
   
• Business Interaction Centres
  Business workshops, seminars and facilities.
   
• Business Innovation Project
  Free innovation audit to identify opportunities within product and service areas and guidance towards the appropriate support services within the North West Higher Education knowledge base.
   
• ICT Solutions
  Free ICT, web and e-commerce support for the creative and cultural industries in the form of hands-on help and training.
