Street Care and Cleaning

Copeland Borough Council is committed to protecting and enhancing both the environment and economic dynamism of the Copeland area, whilst providing attractive and cleaner streets, neighbourhoods and open spaces.

This section of the website has information on many our services that impact on the environment and have a high profile with the public.

Services include: Waste Management, Recycling, Planning, Building Control, Food Hygiene, Dog Control, Pollution and Sustainability through to Conservation.

The Waste Management section are responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards through effective street sweeping, provision and emptying of litter and dog waste bins and weed removal. Whilst we strive to achieve the best possible standards, working in partnership with other agencies, groups and communities is the key to our success.
