The Food Safety Team inspect food businesses to ensure
that food businesses meet food safety law requirements and promote
best practice.
The team also provide guidance, advice and training to
businesses and individuals, with the aim of avoiding any problems
in all aspects of the food industry - be it small scale or larger
operations. The areas of work cover

- investigating food poisoning notifications
- providing Food Safety advice
- providing training courses
- sampling of food and water
- sampling of private water supplies
- promoting and raising awareness of Food Safety
