Additional Brown Bin Collection Service
We are offering an enhanced service to residents with larger gardens. You are now able to pay for a second garden waste bin to be collected. There will be an annual charge of £35 for collection per extra bin. They will be collected fortnightly, alongside your existing brown bin. However for anyone who needs to purchase a second bin, they are available to buy from the Council at £30. If you would like a second bin (or more) we would ask you to get in touch to find out more and arrange payment by calling 01946 598300.
These collections are for garden waste only and if any bins are found to contain household waste they will not be collected. As with existing brown bins, they will not be collected during the winter months of November, December, January and February.

Residents may wish to carry out home composting. More information is available through Recycle for Cumbria at www.recycleforcumbria.org. This will give information on how to composting at home and how to purchase bins at a discounted price, this includes food digesters.
